US Army, Fort Wainwright chooses MegadoorMegadoor has secured a door order worth USD 1,26 million for the construction of a new “Super Hangar” for the US Army at Fort Wainwright, Alaska. The order includes two Megadoor hangar door systems with a clear width of 64.008 meters clear x 8.534 meters clear, sized for H-60 Helicopters The US Army is constructing the new hangar on Ft Wainwright, and required a highly reliable and energy efficient door system. The general Contractor, Wattersson Construction Company and our local Distributor, DoorTech, LLC (Mike Comer) will be installing the door system for Megadoor. In addition to supplying a new hangar door system for this project, Megadoor is providing design guidance along with direct customer interaction. The order was placed in May and the installation is expected to be completed in 2012. The Megadoor system will be manufactured in Peachtree City, GA USA.
